About PPM Calculators

PPM Calculators is dedicated to providing reliable, highly accurate engineering tools for the scientific community. Our mission is to bridge the gap between complex engineering standards and accessible digital tools, offering a verify-first resource for engineers, students, environmental professionals, and safety practitioners.

How Our Calculators Are Built

Every tool starts with a Literature Review. We do not rely on other online calculators as a source of truth. Instead, we reference primary documentation.

Once a formula is identified, it is implemented in TypeScript with strict typing to prevent unit errors. The code is then tested against known textbook problems to verify accuracy to significant figures. Each calculator is versioned and updated when reference standards or methodologies change.

Standards & References

The logic across this site is underpinned by standards from recognized international bodies, including:

  • ASTM International (e.g., D-Series for Water)
  • IUPAC (Chemical Nomenclature)
  • EPA (Environmental Guidelines)
  • NIOSH (Analytical Methods)
